On this Labor Day Sunday we will be praying for all who are seeking work. Do you have a friend or family member who is out of work? Invite them to experience God’s blessing as our congregation prays together for all who have not yet found work.

Jonah: The Great Adventure
On Welcome Sunday, September 12, we begin a series of messages on one of the best known stories in the Bible, the story of Jonah. The book of Jonah is short and full of surprises and brings a message of faith, growth, and purpose for each of us and for our church as a whole. Be sure to be in worship for the entire series.

New Orleans Mission Trip
Fourteen people returned to UMCA on August 22 from a successful nine-day work team trip to New Orleans. While being hosted by UMCOR’s Louisiana Disaster Relief in Slidell, they worked on three different homes - painting, sheet rocking, and putting in tiles and insulation. Along the way they found time to taste Jambalaya in the French Quarter and Bar-Be-Que at B. B. King’s in Memphis. They also toured the Lower Ninth Ward, Habitat-for-Humanity projects and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The following people wish to thank you for your financial and prayer support: Dylan Boor, Ann Boyke, Jim Boyke, Jim Brandner, Angela Crawford, Bradley Crawford, Jake Johnson, Patrick Lanenberg, Amanda Miller, Jason Tizzano, Josh Windham, Naomi Windham, Elizabeth Zabel and Lyndy Zabel. Look for pictures and more information in the future on the web site and in church. In the meantime, give them a pat on the back when you see them for a job well done!
